Butter Beer Cold - Just Like Universal Studios at Hogwarts

I have recently been to the Universal Studios Hogwarts, and having been there I tried Butter Beer.
It was Delicious! My Husband tried the frozen Butter Beer, which I was not much a fan of.
After we left, and went home I have grown to miss Butter Beer and decided to make some my own.

Here is the recipe that is 99.9% like the Butter Beer (Cold) at Universal Studios. I actually cried; because It was so perfect.

Something this lovely must be shared. This is for all you Harry Potter fans! Recipe for Cold Butter Beer!

Butter Beer (Cold)

1/4 Cup + 1 tbsp. Heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp. Powdered Sugar...

1/4 Butter scotch topping (I used smuckers in the squeeze bottle) (its in the ice cream aisle)
2 tbsp. whipped butter at room temp.
1 1/2 Cups (About 3/4 can)Vanilla Cream Soda (A&W)

Directions:
Get a hand mixer and start beating 1/4 Cup heavy whipping cream. Until it looks thicker. Add 2 Tbsp Powdered sugar. Mix until combined.
Add half the butter scotch, beat cream mixture until thick again. Add 2 tbsp. butter and the rest of butter scotch. Add 1 tbsp. of heaving cream into mixture, beat until frothy like 1 minute.
Get you a big a** mighty mug or glass, and pour the cream soda until its 3/4 full.
GENTLY pour the cream mixture on top so it floats.
DRINK! CRY, REJOICE!

Oreo Truffles Recipe

These are delightful treats for when ever you want to spoil yourself!

Ingredients:

1 Package Oreo Cookies (I prefer Double stuffed Oreos)

1 16oz Package of Cream Cheese Room Temperature

1 Package Almond Bark Candy Coating - Chocolate ( can be found at your local wal-mart)

1 Bender or Food processor

Directions:

Take your Cream Cheese and let it come to room temperature, Set aside for now and take the Oreos and break them in half. Your going to put them in the food processor and grind them up until they are graham cracker crumb consistency.

Set aside in a bowl.

Take the Cream Cheese and cut it into 3 sections, put one section in the food processor. Let it run for a minute to make the cheese creamy. Add a little bit of Oreo crumbs, then process. Repeat this until you have mixed all the Oreo and cream cheese together in a chocolatey yummy goo!

Take a wax paper sheet, and a cover a cookie tray,

Your going to roll out 1 inch balls of the mixture and place them on the wax paper. I put butter or spray butter oil on my hands so the mixture doesn't stick to me.Once all the balls have been rolled; set in the fridge to chill. About 1 hour.

Once the Oreo balls are chilled and have hardened, its time to melt the chocolate in a pot, or you can microwave it; Almond Bark Candy Coating is microwave safe. You can melt 3-4 squares; and it will cover most of the Oreo Balls.

Once the chocolate is melted; you want to dip the Oreo Balls and completely cover all sides. Use a tooth pick, or tongs to fish out the Oreo ball. Place on wax paper. The chocolate will cool and harden in a few minutes.

Repeat this until all the Oreo balls have been dipped!

After a few minutes, you will have yummy little Oreo Truffles! Feel free to Chill them!

My Chili Recipe

Yes I am actually going to share how I make my Chili. There really isn't anything special with how I make it; or what I use in it.

Ingredients:

1/2 Chopped White Onion

1 lb Ground Hamburger Meat

1 Can Mild Chili Beans

1 Can Dark Red Kidney Beans

1 Can Hunts Chili Tomatoes

1 8oz Can of Tomato Sauce

1 Can of Chili Tomatoes/Peppers

1 Can Wolf's No Bean Chili

1 Tbsp Garlic Powder

1/2 Tbsp Chili Powder

1/2 Tsp Salt

Directions:

First I set aside a big stew pot and then get a skillet ready. I chop up the onion real small;( I do not like big onion chunks), and add it to the skillet. I add the hamburger meat and cook it until its browned. I drain the grease off and let the meat cool in the skillet.

Once that is done; I put the stew pot on the burner on low. Pour the tomato sauce, your chili powder, garlic powder, salt and can of chili/peppers tomatoes in. Stir for a few minutes, and then add the hunts chili tomatoes, and then the Wolf's No Bean Chili.

Stir and turn the heat up on medium high.

Add your Chili Beans, and Kidney beans and hamburger meat in.
Cover; and simmer for 10 minutes.

Done!

Makes enough for 4 People to have 2 bowls.

Unforgiving Oven

There are times where you may have an oven where it gets too hot on the setting that you need; or that the recipe tells you to cook it at.

Today I learned my lesson with my oven. I was making a batch of cupcakes; put them on for 350° F for 18 minutes. It said 18-20, but I never do the maximum.

18 minutes later.. Sadly my oven burnt my lil darlings. So the next batch I was much more careful.
Turned my oven on 325° F and only put them on for 10 minutes. Checked them; and then put them on for another 2. A total of 12 minutes. FIN~! They were beautiful!

As you can see the ones on the left are much more appealing then the ones on the right.

**Helpful Tips**

If your not sure if your oven will over bake your lil darlings; you can always take one cup cake and put in on a circular pan and set it in the oven at the temp and time your recipe says. Most bakers do watch their goods when cooking. Sometimes some of us forget.

Check on it!  And see if it's too golden or burnt. That way you know not to bake your cupcakes at that temp.  I will be baking my cupcakes at 325° F for 12 minutes from now on.

Also remember the kind of cupcake pan your using; dark you want lower temperature; where as light metal you want a warmer temperature! (not for all cases).

Now go get baking! :D
